MICRONEEDLING

A microneedling treatment is a treatment in which the skin is punctured in a controlled manner with very fine surgical steel needles and to a predetermined depth. In this way, the skin is challenged to recover and renew in depth through the production of collagen and elastin. This improves the appearance and condition of the skin (including skin structure, suppleness, firmness, evenness, color).

During the treatment, an intermediate fluid is used that consists of hyaluronic acid - a natural moisture binder.

To maximize the treatment, additional PRP (platelet rich plasma) is advised: centrifuged blood rich in platelets. The platelets are related to stem cells and contain growth factors. By introducing a high concentration of platelets (and therefore growth factors), collagen production, blood circulation and healthy tissue growth in the body are stimulated, resulting in a natural skin improvement process and cell growth.

What can you expect from the results after microneedling?

In response to the tiny wounds, through the needles in the skin, growth and healing factors are released, which ensures the production of new collagen and elastin in the skin. The skin needs six to eight weeks to form collagen.

The result: the skin starts to behave like younger skin. Cell renewal occurs and the skin becomes visibly smoother, pigment spots reduce and the structure improves.

In the case of anti-aging, it takes at least 6 weeks to see improvement and multiple treatments are required. In the case of scar improvement, you will see results earlier and this also applies to pigment spots. Both improve significantly within 2 to 3 months. Scars are treated at shorter intervals (every 2 weeks).

Depending on the indication, severity of the complaint and skin condition, an optimal result is achieved with treatment in the form of a cure. With microneedling, the more treatments the better results. There is no limit to what you can undergo. On average, 3 to 6 treatments are needed to achieve visible results. Treatments take place every 2 to 4 weeks.
